She's that brush!

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this here on the blog but I have been on the hunt for the ultimate, the most perfect blush brush, specifically for creams and liquids. Don't get me wrong, I love my Anne Clutz brushes but they seem to be a bit big for my face so I thought I'd try smaller blush brushes. I have my sights on four brushes already but two of them are quite pricey and the other two, though affordable, seem to be always out of stock. Thanks to yet another doom scroll on TikTok, I was introduced by several creators on a brush that's angled, synthetic, and quite small- a potential blush brush that may end my search even though it's technically a contour brush. However, I won't be talking about that brush since I haven't tried it yet; instead, I'll talk about the brush that came with it. See, I was only supposed to be getting that blush brush but I saw this bundle thingy that seemed to make more sense finance-wise, you know? A contour/blush brush AND a concealer brush bundle is definitely something that has my name written all over it!

So this is the S52 brush by LiliBeauty. There aren't a lot of description on their brushes on their online platforms but from what I gathered, their brushes are made of "fibers" layered with fur, making the bristles feel soft, delicate, and elastic and they are paired with wooden painted handles that are comfortable to grip.

The S52 brush alone retails for ₱170, while the bundle retails for ₱300. BUT! I recommend looking out for flash sales since I only got the bundle for half price!

For a brush under Php200, it sure looks and feels nice! I like that it has some weight to it and that it feels sturdy and quite well made. I'm very impressed with its brush head because I was fully expecting bristles that are flimsy and thin, not moderately thick but bendable! I also like its handle because it's long, making it comfortable to hold and work with. I can say that the overall look of this brush, from the brush head to the handle, is really comparable to my pricey brushes!

The S52 is definitely different from my concealer brushes as it's the only one with such a unique shape! This brush has an angled cat tongue shape that makes blending concealer on the undereyes so much faster and seamless. Most of the time, I use a flat concealer brush to apply the concealer then blend it with a fluffy blending brush or with a damp sponge. I use two brushes because if I only use the flat concealer brush, I get streaks all over and I feel like the concealer just sits on top of my skin so I need another brush to push it onto my skin. With the S52, it does both! I like how it functions as both applicator and blender, and more importantly, it doesn't dilute the coverage of my concealer!

The angled cat tongue shape definitely helps a lot because the brush sits perfectly on my undereyes so it's able to really get into the lines and crevices of that area. It's pretty much just like blending your concealer with your finger- that's how I can accurately describe this brush. It's soft despite being a synthetic blend brush, doesn't tug, and makes sure your concealer isn't just sitting on top of your skin. I've tested this on both a cream and a liquid concealer and I'm happy to report that it works well with both!

For all my concealer-loving friends and family, I cannot recommend the S52 more. It's THAT brush that does the job easily and quickly without the scratchy, pokey feeling and without a whole lot of pesky brush streaks. Honestly, my concealer game has upped so much, thanks to this brush. So glad this brush is available locally because I'm planning to buy a few more to give and to stock up! I just have to spread the love on this brush for sure!
