Pigment and gloss in one.

Surprise!! I know I've been MIA since July and that's because I had to deal with family matters that just sucked the will and energy out of me (so much so that I wasn't even able to make my yearly Birthday Lippie post- sad!) but things have been looking up recently that I feel it's safe to get back here, even for just a minute. I'll try to get more reviews and features out but if I don't remember: it's me, not you. :)

So as my "getting back" present to you all, I'll be featuring some lippies! These have been out for months now (maybe even a year, tbh) but I think they still deserve to be featured because they're pretty good lippies! I'm talking about Dazzle Me's Ink-Gloss Lip Tints!

The Ink-Gloss Lip Tints are pigmented tints with a glass-like/dewy finish that feel lightweight and comfy on the lips. Although these tints are waterproof and fade resistant, they leave a stain on the lips that can apparently last for up to 12 hours.

Since these are lip tints, you'd think they'd be a bit drying on the lips but the Ink-Gloss tint are formulated with Camellia Seed Oil, Shea Butter, and Ceramides that not only nourish and moisturize the lips but also help them heal. The tints also contain 8D Hyaluronic Acid that helps soften and plump the lips.

The Ink-Gloss Lip Tints are formulated without alcohol and are cruelty-free. Each tint retails for ₱149.

If the Ink-Mattes have an eye catching all cutesy pink tube packaging, the Ink-Gloss tints give off a sultry vibe with their purple metallic tubes that end with a gradient at the bottom that give a sneak peek of the lip color inside. They give big sister vibes when beside the Ink-Mattes haha! Also worth noting that their doe foot applicators are paddle-shaped instead of the usual angled shape.

The Ink-Gloss Lip Tint line has 6 shades available (plus two more from the Smiley World collab- but that's for another post!) but I only have 5 in my stash, namely:

P11  Adore-ink, a cotton candy pink (also included in the Sparkl Ink Gloss Set)

R02 Allure-ink, a deep rose (also included in the Sparkl Ink Gloss Set)

B07 Amber-ink, a terracotta

 O06 Fresh-ink, a chili red

R04 Toasty-ink, a sandy peach

*The shade I'm missing is R03 Femme-ink, a blushing rose.

I quite like the shade range of the Ink-Gloss Lip Tints because you have your pinks, your browns, and your reds. I personally think that it's not surprising that all the shades have a warm tone with a touch of red because at the end of the day, these are still tints and tints, well, they always have red by default. I guess it's because red (and even orange) stains longer and brighter than browns or pinks.

Also, don't be alarmed if my swatches are darker and deeper than the swatches on the Dazzle Me catalogue- my lips are two-toned, that's why. But also, call me crazy or whatever, but I think the tints also oxidize on their own. For example, whenever I apply Toasty-ink or Adore-ink, it starts as a light chocolate milk color then sets to a milk chocolate bar shade of brown. I personally don't mind the deepening of the shades because they work better on my two-toned lips but just a little FYI to you if you're interested in buying these tints.

After the trauma caused by the Ink-Mattes, I'm happy to report that the Ink-Gloss Lip Tints are waaaaaayyy better!! First off, I love the formula- it's thin, lightweight, and glides very smoothly on the lips. In fact, the formula is so thin and fluid that you'd need for it to dry down a little for it to stop moving around. Secondly, these tints are super comfy and moisturizing on the lips. None of that drying, cracking feel on the lips and I appreciate that as someone who's prone to chapped lips!

Thirdly, the pigmentation of these tints are insane! The swatches above are proof- only two layers but baby that payoff is so good! I like that they're able to put up against the pigmentation of my lips and still look good. Lastly, the shine on these tints are amazing. It's like I'm wearing a lip gloss but really, the gloss effect is already built into the tints. I like how the shine ties the tints together on the lips and lip gloss is optional now. Honestly, I can only describe the Ink-Gloss tints as pretty much the baby of a liquid lipstick, lip gloss, and lip oil. Pigmented, hydrating, comfy, shiny, and quite long-lasting.

Now let's talk about the tint they leave behind. I'm someone who's used to reapplying my lipstick because I'm a bullet lippie wearer most of the time but I appreciate that these tints leave a nice layer of color on my lips when most of the product comes off or gets blotted out. I like that the tint left behind isn't a bright one that looks off-putting on my pigmented lips but a muted color that still looks good and not patchy looking. The staying power of both the lippie layer and the tint layer of the Ink-Gloss tints are quite impressive, considering they held up well after a round of eating and drinking. The tint especially took a lot of rubs for it to come off fully which makes me think that you can even top the tint off with a gloss or lip oil to prolong it for a couple more hours. Pretty awesome, huh?

Overall, the Ink-Gloss Lip Tints are worth checking out. I know there are a lot of tints already saturating the beauty market but I think these tints also deserve the spotlight. The pigmentation of these are not playing around, the glossy and plumping finish is wonderful, and the tint they leave behind is worth noting as well, not to mention the delicious chocolatey scent on these?? If these qualities don't have you gobbling these ASAP, I don't know what will!

PS. Yes, best believe I will be getting the one I'm missing to complete the collection...maybe with more items from Dazzle Me! Stay tuned!
