Fluffy Buffer: Anne Clutz Ultimate Beginner Small Eyeshadow Blender Brush
Am I a concealer brush girl now?
When it comes to applying my cream or liquid base products, I'm all about the blender sponge. I just love how a sponge blends out everything seamlessly- no brush strokes, just an even layer of product on the skin that looks like skin. Sponges are great for those thick creams and liquids as they sheer them down and make them more skin-like. But what if a product is already sheer to begin with?
That's actually what I came across sometime this year. I bought a concealer that has a medium opacity and when I blend it out with a sponge, its coverage sheers out. I absolutely want this concealer to work so I though its time to pivot: toss the sponge, grab a brush.
After trying out a few brushes, I'm happy to say that I got a brush that works amazingly with my liquid and cream concealers: it's the Small Eyeshadow Blender Brush from Anne Clutz brushes! Just like the other brushes from the set, this brush has soft synthetic bristles, perfect for blending out liquids and creams! I like how this brush blends out my concealer seamlessly and easily, like no dragging whatsoever. Compared to my natural hair brushes, I think this not only works better as a concealer brush, it also feels less scratchy on the skin. Its synthetic bristles feel soft and fluffy but sturdy enough to buff out product without sheering it out too much.
Another thing I like about this brush is its size. The brush head is actually the perfect size for the undereye! Personally, I think this brush is a bit big and fluffy to blend out eyeshadow on my crease (don't have a lot of lid and crease space here!) so it works perfectly on me as a concealer brush.
I think this brush just shows how versatile makeup brushes can be. Just because it's labeled one thing doesn't mean you have to use it for just that. If I had that mindset, I never would've discovered how amazing this is as a concealer brush. I have been using this brush as my concealer brush and I don't think I'll be going back to a sponge for my undereyes anytime soon! I love that I get the coverage I want with this brush without the dreaded brush streaks and just how quickly it gets my concealer routine done. I highly recommend this brush and yes, I'll be getting one or two more for backup!
