Holiday Beauty Gift Guide 2023: Big Spender Edition
Tis the season of giving (and spending!): Part Three.
We're now at the last part of my 2023 beauty gift guide! This last part is for all those whose budget is higher and/or non-existent, or for those who wants to splurge for a special someone or even for themselves! All items here are above the P1500 mark and will likely hit the 3-5k range, which for me is already a steep bracket for beauty items.
Let's start!
Starting off with some brushes! If you're looking for an impressive brush set from a local beauty brand (other than Anne Clutz brushes!), then look no further because I got you covered! I don't know if you're aware but a few months back, Happy Skin collaborated with beauty influencer Marj Maroket and this is the stunning result: the Happy Skin x Marj Full Brush Set! In this set, you get 6 well-made complexion brushes, one blender, and a standing brush set- all for the price of ₱2,499! I personally find this brush set cute (I'm a sucker for anything pink!) and perfect for both beginners and enthusiasts. Yes, you still need eye brushes with this kit but overall, I still think this is a well curated brush kit. (The blender is a nice addition, ngl!)
This list is not complete without something relating to brows. For a brow kit option, Benefit Cosmetics has one called The Great Brow Basics Kit (₱2,520), where you get three of Benefit's popular brow products. You have two pencils: Goof Proof Brow Pencil for filling in your brows, a mini version of the Precisely, My Brow Pencil for precise and fine brow strokes, and Gimme Brow+ brow gel to set and volumize the brows. These are encased in a silver tin can reminiscent of a pencil holder!
Colourette Cosmetics' liquid highlighters are really great, in my opinion, so of course I'll include them in my list! I love their liquid highlighters because not only are the shades so wearable, the formula and texture of the products are so lightweight and the shimmers are finely milled. The highlighters are also multi-use as you can mix them with other liquid products such as blushes, foundations/tints, and lippies. Their Shimmertint Major PR Kit is such a serve at ₱3,999 because not only do you get the whole Shimmertint range (yes, all 7 Shimmertints!), you also get them in a very mystical packaging with a matching candle. So if you know someone who's into this kind of vibe, this set will definitely be a hit!
Coming it at ₱4,250 is Anastasia Beverly Hills' Rose Metals Deluxe Trio. We all know that the quality of ABH products are top notch so you can expect buttery and pigmented shadows in this pink hued palette. This holiday set gets your lashes and brows covered as well as you get their long-wearing Lash Sculpt mascara and their lightweight Clear Brow Gel. Eye makeup: sorted!
I want to end this gift guide with something quite exorbitantly priced you'd think twice before getting it as a gift. This may be a really expensive set but for good reason- it's from the well-known skincare brand, Tatcha. I was able to sample a Tatcha face cream a couple years back and I have to say, that small pot of a sample convinced me that maybe Tatcha does deserve its hefty price tag. I mean, that cream felt like a dream! It felt very luxurious and classy; no joke, it felt like I was using a product from a lush spa! So for that, the last spot of this gift guide belongs to their holiday edition The Ritual For Firm Skin Set. This set, I think, is more targeted for those who are in their mid 30s and older who needs skincare that's nourishing, plumping, and can help with skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles, and for firming. This kit will make a great and impressive gift to moms, aunts, grandmas, and pretty much anyone who deserves a good skin pampering as it includes the Camellia cleansing oil, the Essence, the Silk Serum, and the Silk Cream. All for the lovely price of ₱15,800!
