From Mom's Stash: Estée Lauder Limited Edition Lipstick in Be Epic
My second Estée Lauder lippie feature here on the blog AND yet another product from Mom's stash!
Happy Friday, everyone, and happy last day of January! (Finally!)
Today, I have yet another beauty product feature that I borrowed from my Mom's stash. I kind of forgot that she had this lipstick until I saw it lying around the house last week haha! If I remember correctly, she got a Christmas gift last year from a friend of hers that I thought was so nice: an Estee Lauder makeup pouch filled with a few Estee Lauder goodies! Mom was kind enough to let me have a few of the products and while I got some skincare/prep products, she kept the lipstick. And now said lipstick's here on the blog!
The lipstick I'm talking about is Estée Lauder's Be Epic, a limited edition, high-performance, and long-lasting lipstick. This lipstick also offers comfort on the lips as it is formulated with Estée Lauder's own Moisture Lock Complex, a blend of potent oils and plant extracts that help in nourishing, moisturizing, and plumping the lips.
Be Epic's packaging looking so good! Super love the tartan print on the outside of the tube, plus the Estée Lauder seal on the gold tube inside and on the cap!
Be Epic is a medium pink with a satin-y, almost frosty finish, which makes me think that it is part of Estée Lauder's Pure Color Hi-Lustre lipstick line. As for coverage, I'd say Be Epic has more of a medium opacity as it wasn't able to fully cover or conceal my two-toned lips.
This lipstick has a creamy but slippery feel on the lips. It didn't tug or skip but I felt like it was prone to moving or smudging around. I recommend maybe using a lip liner underneath for this lipstick to grip on to so it won't feather or smudge easily. As for comfort, I can say that this lippie didn't feel drying at all and it's one that you can wear for hours (except, of course, if you drink or eat).
Be Epic, admittedly, has a nice formula but the shade is just not my ~vibe~. I feel like this shade would suit more to those with a fair to light skintones. I'm personally not a huge fan of its frost-looking lustre and I wish it was more gloss-looking/glass shine, you know? Overall, I'm glad I was able to try it but it's something I won't be borrowing as much from my Mom.
And that's it for this pretty quick beauty product feature! Thanks for reading!
