LOTD: Cher Lloyd "Want U Back" Purple Eyes
Today's LOTD is a Cher Lloyd look from her music video, Want U Back. This is a very simple purple look with black liner, a bit of falsies, mascara, and pale lips.
Based on my picture above, there are only two shadows used: a purple shadow and a highlight. Nothing was done with the crease so it's just one color on the eyes. Here are the products I used:
1. After applying an eye primer (I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance for this look), get a creamy white pencil, apply some on your lids and blend it out with your finger. Remember not to put too much or else it will crease and it will be harder to blend.
2. Select a purple eyeshadow. As much as possible, select one with a matte or satin finish. Apply it all over the lids and crease. Remember to build and blend. Just because you're just using one shadow doesn't mean you can be sloppy with it.
3. Select a matte light pink/white highlight shadow. I used Camila from the Kat Von D Candelabra Palette. Blend the edges near the brow bone with this shadow and use it to highlight your brow bone as well.
4. Get your blackest eye pencil and line your upper and lower waterlines. Line your upper lashline as well and smudge out with a black shadow. Remember to take the pencil all the way to your tear ducts.
5. Using the purple shadow, liner your lower lashline with it.
6. Apply mascara and add a pair of natural falsies if you wish. Don't forget to apply mascara on your lower lashes.
7. Leave the cheeks blank. But if you want to, feel free to apply a peach blush to your cheeks.
8. For the lips, I used a nude pencil to line the lips and fill them in. I don't have a lipstick similar to Cher's so I just a nude lipstick and blotted it with a blotting paper to mattify it a bit.
