Mask time!

It seems like everyone's obsessed with masks nowadays, no? Face masks seem to be the current thing right now since most bloggers and vloggers I'm subscribed to include them in their routines. While most people love face sheet masks, I tend to enjoy goopy masks or clay masks. Basically, anything that isn't a sheet and that isn't a peel off.

I was browsing the skin care section of Watsons a few days ago when I stumbled upon this product. The Purederm Vitalizing Green Tea Pack comes in a 10ml sachet that's perfect to try out without breaking the bank. So I took the plunge and purchased one. Also, bonus points because it was discounted, as part of the mall's sale. I ended up paying half the regular price which is a big score!

The Purederm Vitalizing Green Tea Pack is a wash off massage mask that has collagen, Vitamin E, green tea extract, and olive oil. The green tea extract is for vitalizing and for increasing skin elasticity while the olive oil helps in skin brightening and softening. It claims that it's perfect for all skin types and can be used on any season (Purederm is a Korean brand, fyi).

The product has a translucent thick moisturizer-like appearance, like an aloe vera goop. It thins out once you spread it around and massage it on the skin. It doesn't really smell like straight up green tea; rather, it smells very herbal and fresh.

So basically, you apply it once you towel dry your face. You squeeze out some product and work the product on the skin. I recommend working by sections so you get an even application all over. It just feels like a water-based moisturizer only it won't skin into the skin and dry out. You'll know when to stop massaging because it sort of dries out and becomes less watery. Once you're done, let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

When it's drying or setting, it becomes really sticky, kind of like how sticky sticker papers are. Try not to touch your face all the time and let the product work its thing. It doesn't really feel heavy on the skin. In fact, it feels like you just have your skin care products on your face. It doesn't feel to hot or warm on the face which I like because I hate products that feel suffocating. After 10 minutes, just rinse it off, either with warm or lukewarm water, and that's pretty much it.

Afterwards, my skin feels like it just got stripped out of unnecessary oils and dirt. It feels and looks matte but also soft and smooth. It also helped calm the zits I had, almost like they dried out a little. I guess this comes from the healing properties of the green tea extract. Anything with green tea extract is good for zits and the like.

Overall, this is a good one but I recommend it for those who have oily or acne-prone skin as the green tea extract will help heal your skin and strip off  excess oils. For such an affordable price, this mask works. This sachet is good for 2-3 uses as well so if you do the math, you save money with it. Good find indeed! Can't wait to try more masks from Purederm!
