OPI The Royal Mani: Avoplex Cuticle To Go

Step three of three.

Pre-polish nail care: done. Nail strengthening: done. Time for the last nail care step then!

After painting your nails, there's one more step most of us kind of neglect to do: moisturize the cuticles. This is a very important step because nail polishes tend to dry the hell out of our cuticles and when you have parched cuticles while you have polish on, they contribute to chipping and/or lifting, resulting to short-lived mani. I personally started doing this a couple of years ago and I have to say, moisturizing the cuticles every now and then helps a lot.

DISCLAIMER: I'm reviewing the products individually. I'm doing this so that you won't read a long ass and so that the reviews are more in-depth and not just an overview. The items can be purchased individually and are not set exclusive; this factored in my decision to write reviews on each product. Hopefully, the reviews can help you decide on whether the products are worth your buck or not. The posts are not, in any way, sponsored by OPI.

Not gonna lie, when I saw this in the boxed set, I cannot wait to try it out asap. This is the Avoplex Cuticle To Go. Just like the cuticle treatment, this has OPI's Advanced Avocado Lipid Complex that helps in removing dryness and roughness of the cuticles while also replenishing moisture, resulting in smooth and soft cuticles. What's good about this is that it's a to-go sized product so it can fit inside your smallest of bags without taking too much space.

The Cuticles To Go comes in a small plastic squeeze tube with a screw on cap and brush applicator. I absolutely love the brush applicator because it lets me apply the product without getting it all over my fingers or pretty much everywhere. The bristles aren't too stiff nor scratchy and they do a really good job in distributing the product.

Now let's talk about the product itself. The consistency's pretty much gel-like. It's not too thin and liquidy that it just spills everywhere. It's sort of viscous, really. When you apply it on the cuticles, it spreads easily but doesn't drip. I also like how this one doesn't feel too greasy, unlike other cuticle oils that really feel like oil.

For application, I make sure to squeeze gently just so I have the right amount of product. The product comes out almost immediately so make sure you squeeze slowly so you won't have a lot of product coming out of the brush. Once I have what I need, I simply brush my cuticles with product and leave it on for as long as I can. I kid you not, my cuticle areas are so moisturized that there's no dryness on sight! Plus, it makes my mani last a little bit longer so that's always a plus.

Overall, this one's a winner. It's fuss-free and very effective. And since it's travel-sized, you can bring this everywhere and use it every time you feel like your cuticles need some care. Oh, and it smells like tutti frutti too due to the combination of oils like avocado, grape seed, sunflower seed, and sesame. My inner little girl feels giddy every time I smell it, haha!
