Sampling Samples: The Face Shop Yehwadam Revitalizing Eye Cream
Eye area hydration.
I never understood eye creams until I used one. Turns out, eye creams do wonders for the eye area. They can make your skin soft and supple, your eye area really hydrated which in turn can make you look more awake and glowing. But I think the biggest thing an eye cream can do is make your eye area concealer-ready. Applying a thin layer of a good eye cream before concealing does wonders. Because your eye area is hydrated, the concealer just blends easily and evenly because it has nothing to cling to like dry patches. Honestly, such a game changer.
I LOVE Benefit Cosmetics' It's Potent! Eye Cream because that made me really see how eye creams work with makeup. That just made my eye area really moisturized and applying concealer on top was easy peasy. Truly a marvelous product; it's expensive but marvelous. The Douglas Aqua Focus Eye Contour Gel is a nice product to use too if you're on a budget. It's moisturizing and helps your eye area look fresh and awake. Very easy to apply and stays on for hours.
Today I'll be talking about a Korean eye cream that I got from my sister. It's The Face Shop's Yehwadam Revitalizing Eye Cream. And spoiler alert: it's real good.
Little product description from the website: "This revitalizing eye cream is formulated with the energy of Korean natural ingredients. The dense, balm-like cream moisturizes and revitalizes the skin around the eyes with a soft texture to minimize the appearance of fine lines and dark circles."
Apparently, it's formulated with a variety of Korean herbs like Safflower from Sancheong (it improves skin tone and promotes blood circulation), Ginseng from Punggi (to restore youthful skin) and Goji Berries from Cheongyang (an antioxidant that fights fine lines and wrinkles and fortifies natural resilience of skin).
This product is part of The Face Shop's Yehwadam Revitalising line that focuses on early anti-aging and improving skin radiance. The products in this like are formulated with different Korean natural ingredients like herbs and flowers that give the skin a healthy glow.
I know the website says that this eye cream is dense but honestly, I don't think it is. Personally, it feels light and silky, not waxy or balmy at all. It feels lighter than It's Potent! Eye Cream but definitely not as water-based as the Douglas Aqua Focus eye gel. This eye cream just glides and blends on the skin beautifully, and it smells beautiful too, like something from a high-end spa.
You only need a small amount to cover your entire area and it blends out in no time. When it settles, it leaves a slight tackiness on the skin. The tackiness goes away after a few hours but the product itself stays for a good number of hours. No need to reapply or retouch! Case in point: I applied a thin layer at around 10 am and 8 hours later, my eye area still feels soft and moisturized. How good is that?
I can now tell the difference between my eye area without eye cream and with eye cream. My normal, no product skin feels a bit dry and dull; the one with eye cream feels soft and smooth. I love using this product on its own but I reckon it will also be great underneath a concealer or BB cream.
I absolutely recommend this product if you're on the hunt for a bomb AF eye cream. If you like something that deeply moisturizes and at the same time helps with anti-aging, then this is the product to try. I honestly have nothing bad to say against this product- it's that good. And the smell is just divine, so luxurious. Koreans really know their skincare huh?

Rejuvenating face creams give a glowing look as they are applied during the nights.
