Healthy Lashes with The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum

What my lashes and brows need right now: nourishment.

Happy 2026, everyone! Sorry it took me almost two weeks to get back here. The holidays became pretty busy for me (I know- real life, right?) hence the lack of posts (and backlogs!) last December. But worry not, it's a new month and year and the unpublished posts will be trickling out this month- hopefully. Just need to sort them out (and myself, honestly) before hitting the publish button and I promise I won't take long to get them out!

Speaking of sorting myself out, I've been into skincare lately. Or, let me rephrase that: I've been into skincare MORE lately and not in a 10/20-step routine kind of way but more of a let me get back into my regular skin care routine by using products I know my skin loves. That means making sure that I use my moisturizers and sunscreens daily, face masks at night when I can,  and I even brought back the daily jade rolling because I've been feeling puffy as f-ck. Additionally, I also brought back something I never thought I'd use again: a brow and lash serum. The last time I used one was a bust (which you can read here) but this time's a different story because the one I'm currently using is actually really good!

Shoutout to Portia, my cousin, for gifting me a skincare-filled pouch all the way from Canada, which includes The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum! It is described as "a lightweight, water-based formulation created to support thicker, fuller, and healthier-looking lashes and brows."

Apparently, this lash and brow serum features a blend of 11 key ingredients, including four peptide complexes and plant extracts, that help in nourishing and improving the density, volume, and fullness of the lashes and brows.

Here's the list of the key ingredients if you're keen!

SYMPEPTIDE XLASH® complex (with Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17), Anargy® complex (with Oligopeptide-2 and Glycoproteins), Widelash™ complex (with Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1 and Panthenol), REDENSYL™ complex (with Larix Europaea Wood Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, and Zinc Chloride), CAPIXYL™ complex (Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 and Trifolium Pratense Flower Extract), and High-Solubility Caffeine.

The Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum comes in a 5ml tube that retails for $14.90 USD on The Ordinary's website, and while we don't have The Ordinary on Sephora PH, it is available on Sephora SG for $29 SGD.

One thing I immediately noticed is this serum's applicator. Instead of your usual spoolie, you have a brush! At first I thought a brush would make the product tricky to apply but turns out, you just have to apply it like you would a liquid liner! A brush applicator really gets into the roots of my lashes on both sides (top and bottom) more than a spoolie so instead of having serum-soaked lashes, the roots are more saturated with product- just as it should be!

Most of the lash and brow serums I've seen mostly have an oil-based formula which can feel heavy and greasy on the lashes, plus they can even cloud or blur your vision like what I experienced with one before. Thankfully, the Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum is different from everything I've tried! For starters, its formula's first two ingredients are aqua and glycerin- so you know this won't be a greasy product at all! The formula's texture reminds me of a very thinned out gel it's practically water (with maybe a teensy hint of oil in it) that feels light and even cooling on the eyes. It doesn't feel irritating on the eyes and most of all, doesn't cause cloudy or blurry vision. This lash serum is very lightweight and actually gets absorbed over time so no need to worry about it getting all over your face, pillowcases, or clothes. As far as lash serums go, this one by far is superior, at least from the others I've previously tried.

Now let's address the million dollar question: does this serum really deliver? This serum claims to do two things: first: improve the look, density, and volume of the lashes and brows, and second: make them healthier. Though I haven't been using this twice a day as recommended (I only use it at night and you know, when I remember to use it), I can say that my lashes feel stronger every time I use this serum. They don't feel as fragile when I curl my lashes anymore which is a huge thing for me because I have, indeed, cut my lashes before haha! I can't say for certain that it helps a lot with hair growth and lengthening (mainly because your girl is taking her biotin tablets daily so there's that) but it helps a lot in nourishing, strengthening, and thickening my lashes. So on that front, yes, this serum delivers!

Overall, I'd recommend this lash and brow serum. I love its gentle, tear-free formula and I like that it's actually doing something to my lashes, even if its just nourishing them. It has been a huge help with my lashes considering I've been testing out different lash curlers and mascaras on them on the daily. I think I finally found a reliable lash and brow serum in the market, one that I would actually recommend and repurchase. Hopefully this (and The Ordinary!) will make it to our shores soon (and by shores, I mean Sephora.ph!)
