Late Post: My Recent Booty Bands PH Haul

New toys.

So last month, I celebrated my 27th birthday and since I just loooove getting gifts for myself, I did a little online shopping. I've been meaning to expand my exercise equipment collection so that was what I decided to splurge on a bit. Nothing too major, just little bits that'll add more spice and fun to my workout routines.

I love Booty Bands PH so when I saw that they've expanded their items, I thought I'd get my new toys from them. I absolutely love their mini bands and even though I bought them last 2018, they're still alive and kicking (well, except for one). You have no idea how much of a game changer mini bands are until you incorporate them in your routine. So good!

So, here are my new* equipment!

(*More like new-ish? The week after getting them, I already took them for a spin so excuse them if they already look a little ragged instead of fresh from the mail. xx)

The main purchase of this haul was the Complete Home Gym with Booty Straps. Thing is, before seeing this set, I've been mulling over buying adjustable dumbbells since I want to up my weight game. There are a few reasons why I wasn't 100% on purchasing the dumbbells but the two main things are: 1). they're freaking expensive (the pair I was eyeing was around 13-15k a pair!), and 2). they're not exactly travel-friendly. So while scrolling through IG, I saw ads about resistance tubes so I thought I'd give these a try since I love resistance-training anyway. So glad Booty Bands PH sell them too!
As you can see, the set includes: 5 resistance tubes of varying resistance, a pair of handles, a pair of ankle/wrist straps, a door anchor, and a carry drawstring pouch.

You'd think these tubes would be nothing but ooohhhh boy, they're as brutal as weights! Individually, they're okay, they can give you a good resistance but a combination of two bands is definitely where it's at! My default combo used to be the red (20lbs) and green (15lbs) but since my red band broke at the handle, it's now the yellow (10lbs) and the green, with the addition of the blue (25lbs). I haven't used the black (30lbs) yet mainly because it scares me but I keep it on standby just in case I want to challenge myself. (LOL gotta get past the blue band first though!)

I have no idea yet how to use the ankle straps properly so for now, I just use them as an extra pair of handles and you know what, they surprisingly work well! Totally saved me from buying another pair of handles.

As a whole, I think this is reasonably priced (and probably the lowest priced set I've come across, too!)

The next one I got was more of a bit the bullet type of a purchase. I have wanted to own a pair of sliders for the loooongest time and I thought, well, I think it's time I get them. I didn't purchase them in the past because I worked out on our driveway that's cemented but now that I workout indoors, I can now use sliders on our tiled floors! Yay!

The Power Sliders come in a variety of colors but I chose the black ones because well, black's always my first color of choice haha! These sliders are light and slippery but they can get easily scratched. Even the tiniest particle will scratch the surface and that scratchy feeling gets me wincing every freaking time. I'm still getting used to them so I still have to use them more (and also probably scratch them more yay 😖)

The last purchase is a replacement of my broken mini band. My purple light band snapped back in 2019 but with the help of magic glue, I was able to patch it up and use it until this year. Unfortunately, it snapped back in August and well, let's just say that if I patch it up again, it'll be more of a medium band than a light one. So I thought I'd just replace it. Thank goodness  Booty Bands PH sells their band individually as well because my medium and heavy bands are still perfectly fine so there's no point in getting a new set.

The Light band comes in three colors but I opted to get the original one- the purple. Also, I don't know if it's just me but it seems that the light band I got is much more taut than the one I broke? Like, it's more of a light-medium than just a light? I dunno but I like it!

And that's pretty much it! I placed my order on the 9th of September, paid via PayPal and got my package on the 12th or 13th. Not bad! And yeah, week after that, I already used them and I freaking loved them (well, except for the sliders. I'm still getting used to them tbh). If you're thinking of getting something from this haul, I recommend the Complete Home Gym and the mini band (better yet, get the set if you don't have them yet!). The sliders are more of a optional choice, if you ask me.

So, so happy with my purchases! Yay!
