It's a Match!: GRWM Cosmetics Radiance Tint in 21 Almond

My new fave base.

This is probably one of the makeup products released last year that I was SO excited to get my hands on.

To be honest, I'm not a big user of concealers. I'd really rather spend my money on bases like BB Creams and foundations than to buy myself a tube or pot of concealer. I have no idea when and why my preferences shifted, considering that concealers were a big part of my routine when I was younger. Maybe I'm just lazier now and want to be done with my base ASAP?

Anyway, when GRWM Cosmetics released their Radiance Tints last year, I thought, "Welp, another concealer line." I wasn't interested at all. However, when I saw more videos about it and learned that the Radiance Tints can also double as a base (either as a tinted moisturizer or a full-on foundation), well, that pretty much hooked me in. Again, back to my base over concealer preference. That's pretty much what it took to get myself one of these.

The Radiance Tints are described as "creamy, buildable, blendable, & long-wearing concealers you can use to highlight the face and even out skintone." They are formulated with hyaluronic acid, 5 kinds of ceramides, vitamin e, and phytosphingosine, ingredients known for their hydration properties. The tints contain 8ml of product in each tube.

The Radiance Tints come in a very sleek semi-frosty transparent tubes topped with white caps. I actually like their packaging because it feels and looks quite expensive- definitely not tacky and at all. And the tube has some heft to it, making me less worried that I'm gonna crack or break it if I drop it.

Now let's talk about shade range- the Radiance Tints come in 12 shades, ranging from fair to deep shades with cool, neutral, and warm tones. This is pretty impressive because it guarantees that you have a high chance of getting a really close match to your skintone. Gone are the days when the only shades available (at least here in the Philippines) are fair, light, and medium!

Since I wanted to test it out first, I decided to get 1 shade first to try. After a lot of personal shade research, for my first Radiance Tint, I went for 21 Almond, described as a medium shade with neutral undertone. TBH, I had a hard time picking my shade because I tend to either pick a shade darker or a shade lighter than my skintone but thankfully, 21 Almond is the perfect match! Yes, this shade matches me more than Maybelline's Fit Me foundations! I swear, when I blended it out on my face, I was shook at my core at how the shade and tone just matched my skintone. It was PERFECT.

The Radiance Tint has a matte finish and offers medium coverage that you can build up to make it a full one. I tried blending the Tint with two tools: a damp Focallure beauty sponge and my Galatea 110 paddle brush. The Tint blended out smoothly and effortlessly with both tools but I find that I prefer the finish I get from my damp beauty sponge. The damp sponge just helps in making the matte finish less harsh-looking on the skin, plus I find that the the Radiance Tint looks more radiant on the skin. With the dry paddle brush, the Tint's matte-ness is full-on, hence, my skin looks a bit rougher (with all my bumps in full show) and flatter- and that's sans setting powder.

I actually like the medium coverage the Tint gives because the skin still looks like skin, just a bit more even and polished. For everyday use, I think the Radiance Tint is perfect because it will give you decent coverage without looking too made up. Plus, the Tint is surprisingly lightweight! It's very comfortable on the skin that at some point during the day, I forgot I was wearing it. That's how good it feels on the skin.

In conclusion, it's a 10 out of 10 for me, a 5-star rating. I like how light it feels despite being a matte, I like the shade range (some shades I can even use as highlight and contour!) and its buildable coverage, I like that it's a multi-use product (more bang for your buck, am I right?), and I like how great of a local makeup product it is. Honestly, I LOVE how local beauty brands are stepping up!

BRB, adding shades 15, 18, and 33 in my cart ASAP!
