LOTD: Miss Lily
After 383874839320474 years, I'm back with an LOTD! These past few days, I've been going crazy over bold, thick brows. I have always loved bold brows but my love for it intensified because of Lily Collins, Emilia Clarke, and Cara Delevingne. These gorgeous ladies definitely know how to rock 'em brows! And because I'm such jealous gal, I've decided to go all cray then one thing led to another and voila, this post was born! :))
My main inspiration is definitely Lily Collins. She has such strong brows that frame her face beautifully. Because of her bold brows, most of her face makeup is kept at a minimum but sometimes she sports a bright lip to give color to her face. Another highlight are her lashes. Those gorgeous long lashes! Absolutely love it.
*Before I start dissecting my look, a teeny tiny disclaimer. I'm not really that pale is person. Hahaha! I used to be really tanned but I've lightened up a bit now but still not as pale as I look in my photos here. All I did was position myself in front of a window at around 12:30 in the afternoon. In my opinion, me being pale helps in this LOTD because Lily Collins, my inspiration for this look, is pale.
FACE & CHEEKS
So basically, all I did was apply foundation, conceal, set, and apply contour. I used a new foundation too, one I got from my sister's stash. /ninja

EYES & BROWS
Ah, my favorite part! I was so excited to do my brows that I automatically chose a color that matches my hair, that is, black. In hindsight, I suppose I should've picked a non-black color like dark brown or ash but the thing is, I wanted my brows to look as if it's naturally like that, like I was gifted with a pair of bold brows. I mean come on, have you seen someone with natural brown brows when their natural hair color is black or someone who's blonde with a pair of black brows? No, right? :D But if I was to sport this look in real life, then yes, I will fill my brows with a dark brown brow powder. I think the secret of pulling off bold brows is grooming. Make sure you trim your brow hairs, pluck/shave stray hairs. Another secret is shaping. Shaped bold brows are so much better than thick, unruly ones.
I kept my eye look pretty much toned down. I noticed that Lily always has a light lid color, a light contour, and the right amount of highlight. I only used three eyeshadow colors so I have to say the eye look is easy peasy.
As I've said earlier, Lily has long lashes. I absolutely love hot spidery her lashes look, both top and bottom. Since I have Asian lashes (short but thankfully not as stubborn), I decided to put on a pair of natural lashes. The outcome wasn't as noticeable like Lily's but I prefer it that way than to put on a set of fuller lashes.
Products Used:

Sleek shadow in Noir (brows)
Elizabeth Arden shadow in Mauve Pink (lids)
Urban Decay shadow in Buck (crease)
Urban Decay shadow in Virgin (highlight)
MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara

LIPS
Originally, I wanted a bright lip because Lily wears bright lips most of the time. I chose a strong bright pink lip color for this look but I was a bit overwhelmed on the overall look. Bold brows, toned eyes, contour, plus a bright lip? Not really nice. So what I did was blot the lip color several times to get the right amount of color that works with the look.
Products Used
-Maybelline Baby Lips in Anti-Oxidant Berry
-Cosmoprof Lip Palette
Absolutely loved doing this look! Bold brows are absolutely a statement so if you have 'em, flaunt 'em! To end this post, I leave you a question: Bold brows: yay or nay?
