Hollaaaa, I turned 20 today! Good thing my birthday this year fell on a Sunday, the chillest day of the week in my opinion. Also loved the weather this morning: cloudy with a chance of rain. Perfect birthday weather.
Since we didn't go out today, Mom cooked instead. Absofreakinlutely loved my birthday dinner. Mom made lasagna, crispy chicken cutlets, and carrot cupcakes. I originally wanted to have red velvet cupcakes for my birthday but since Mom's carrot cake is my favorite cake of hers (aside from her chocolate cake with coffee filling), I scratched red velvet and chose carrot.
I also got to pipe the cream cheese icing on the cupcakes! Today was the first time I piped icing ever and I did a crappy job at first and a passable job when I got the hang of it. I need more practice haha!! Out of the 24 cupcakes, I managed to pipe 11 cupcakes decently. /fail
Happy 20th to me! Woo!
PS. A little extra. Painted my nails with a new polish today. It's Anna Sui 003. :)
After 383874839320474 years, I'm back with an LOTD! These past few days, I've been going crazy over bold, thick brows. I have always loved bold brows but my love for it intensified because of Lily Collins, Emilia Clarke, and Cara Delevingne. These gorgeous ladies definitely know how to rock 'em brows! And because I'm such jealous gal, I've decided to go all cray then one thing led to another and voila, this post was born! :))
My main inspiration is definitely Lily Collins. She has such strong brows that frame her face beautifully. Because of her bold brows, most of her face makeup is kept at a minimum but sometimes she sports a bright lip to give color to her face. Another highlight are her lashes. Those gorgeous long lashes! Absolutely love it.
*Before I start dissecting my look, a teeny tiny disclaimer. I'm not really that pale is person. Hahaha! I used to be really tanned but I've lightened up a bit now but still not as pale as I look in my photos here. All I did was position myself in front of a window at around 12:30 in the afternoon. In my opinion, me being pale helps in this LOTD because Lily Collins, my inspiration for this look, is pale.
Here's a quick post for today. Here I have NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. This is probably one of the most owned makeup pencil by both makeup lovers and artists. It's cheap, it's opaque, and it's such a creamy pencil. I absolutely love using this as a base. Because it's stark white, it makes any shadow layered on top of it pop and look more pigmented. So if you're into colorful makeup looks, this is the perfect base to use. The only downside is that it does crease because it's such a creamy product. This product has to be used little by little or else you'll have lids as white as a sheet of bond paper. It can be used to line the waterline but I find that a bit difficult to do because it's definitely stubbier than most pencils.
I got this pencil in Suesh for 450php. The Digital Traincase carries it too.
What's your favorite white pencil?
