Gift Guide: Stocking-Stuffers for the Beauty Obsessed

by - Friday, December 19, 2014

Are you all done with Christmas shopping? Whether you're still shopping or looking for something to buy, I have something that might help you. Here's my gift guide: beauty edition!

The things in my gift guide are small beauty items you can either use as stocking-stuffers or as a part of a gift bunch. If everyone's all about the big gifts, I'm all about putting small things together in a gift bag. This way the person who'll receive it gets to try new and different items!

So if you know someone who's into beauty and you don't know what to get them, here are my suggestions!

EYE PENCILS ||
Anyone who's into makeup will definitely appreciate these, especially if they're in color! These are like crayons for us beauty geeks. Eye pencils are versatile; they can be used as liners, base, makeshift brow filler, and even as mascara! Bunch up some pencils and you're good to go.

MASCARA ||
If you want to give a tube or two of these lash-perkers (is that a word?), I recommend getting one that's lengthening, volumizing, and most importantly, waterproof. Waterproof mascaras are the bomb dot com. If you want to play it up, I recommend getting some colored mascaras that are perfect for the season.

SINGLE SHADOWS ||
If palettes exceed your budget, I suggest you buy single shadows. If you're unsure what color to pick, I recommend going for neutrals: browns, taupes, muted warm pinks, bronzes. Make sure the shadows are either matte or satin; never go for glittery shadows. If you're looking for something local, I recommend San San's shadows, specially the browns! They're affordable and they're awesome. ;)

NAIL POLISHES ||
I'm sure I'll be one happy kid if I receive a couple of polishes this Christmas. I'm currently trying nail art so of course polishes are essential! These are also cute gifts to give to your young nieces/cousins/friends who love painting their nails! Make sure to buy something that's quick drying too!

LIP GLOSSES ||
Ah yes, another safe gift! These are for those who love that extra shine on the lips and for those who are getting into makeup.

LIP BALMS ||
One can't have too much if these, yes? Lip balms come in different forms- and colors! You can opt to give a tinted one or a clear one; either will be used, trust me.

MAKEUP REMOVER ||
Whether it's for removing makeup or for cleaning up booboos, makeup remover's a staple in a makeup wearer's counter. If you can find some that are sample-sized, even better because those are perfect for travelling!

MAKEUP WIPES ||
For those who can't be bothered with cotton pads, here's something for them. Every time I wear makeup, I always have wipes in my bag. These are handy, purse-friendly, and efficient!

MAKEUP BRUSHES ||
I received a couple of brushes from my sister last Christmas and it made me so freaking happy. Brushes are so darn important to me, they're like my babies. If you're looking for something affordable, I recommend these brands: EcoTools, Beauty Cosmetics, and elf.

FACE MASKS ||
Here's something for those who a need a little pampering. These are like one-size-fits-all gifts. They can be given to your cousins, aunts, friends, and yes, even to the guys in your life! Everyone likes face masks, you can't go wrong with this.

FACIAL WASH ||
If you know someone who's into skincare, give them a good facial wash. There are a ton of facial washes in the market nowadays: for oily skin, combination, dry, for acne, herbal...the list goes on! It's better if you give a couple of sample-sized ones if you're unsure what to give.

THE BODY SHOP'S TEA TREE OIL ||
My most used skincare product. I abso-freaking-lutely love this product. It helps me get rid of pimples specially in that time of the month (I bet you know what I'm talking about). This is something you can introduce to someone who's prone to pimples and basically, that's everyone. This isn't a cure for severe acne though so just keep that in mind.

And that's it! Hope this list gave you an idea on what to get for others or for yourself this Christmas. You ready? Ready, set, shop!
