(DAY I | DAY II)

Seminyak tripping!

Thursday morning, my sister and I went to the beach to get some morning sunshine. We didn't swim though but we got our feet wet.

Wasn't able to do this but it looked fun!

At noon, we headed to Seminyak. The trip from Nusa Dua to Seminyak was quite long since Seminyak is the west coast and Nusa Dua is in the south-east. I have to say, Seminyak was pretty...urban! It definitely has the city vibe, with streets flooded with cars and motorcycles, rows and rows of shops, and tourists everywhere! It's very unlike Nusa Dua that's more relaxed and quiet.

The reason why we went to Seminyak was to have lunch at Ku De Ta. It's a bar/restaurant/hang-out place that's pretty popular in Indonesia. They do have a branch in MBS Singapore but if you want a more vacation-y vibe, head to Seminyak where you'll have a nice view of the Indian Ocean. My Ku De Ta experience will be another post, as usual. :P

Anyway, after that we decided to stroll on the beach on the hopes of finding Tanah Lot. Thinking back, strolling on the beach/shore was a big mistake because the sun was so high up I though it'll melt my skin. We didn't have any umbrellas with us too. But we walked anyway.

In case you're wondering, Tanah Lot search was a bust. We did find a temple off shore though! For some odd reason (and timing), we found Pura Petitenget! We weren't able to go inside though since we didn't have sarongs but it was nice to see a temple. From the outside, at least.

Wish we had more time because Seminyak's a pretty and interesting place. Hopefully next time!
