Subtle Chiselling with Vice Cosmetics Aura Contour in Porshur
Last month, I raved about Vice Co's Aura Contour in Confeeerm, a deep brown contour that works beautifully as a brontour. Confeeerm has that nice warm tone to it that does a great job in bringing warmth and dimension on the face. I do realize that Confeeerm can be intimidating and can be a bit too dark and warm on fairer skintones so don't worry, today I'll be talking about the lighter Vice Co contour shade: Porshur!
Here's Porshur, a medium brown contour. Vice Co describes this shade as "the perfect neutral contour for fair skin, and is a very subtle contour on medium to deep skin" and I agree! I have a medium skintone and Porshur looks quite subtle on me unlike Confeeerm that shows up right off the bat!
Here's Porshur and Confeeerm side by side. Porshur is definitely a lighter, build-as-you-go kind of contour shade, while Confeeerm packs more punch in pigment. Also, as you can see, Porshur is warm toned too so this contour will give definition warmth to your face instead of a gray-toned sculpt.
Porshur is definitely easier to use since it won't surprise you with a shit ton of pigment upon application. I find this shade a bit light on my skintone so I just build it up to the intensity that I want. I actually quite appreciate the lightness of this shade since I can control how much or little I want my contour to be. Porshur, just like Confeeerm, isn't chalky and blends out nicely and smoothly.
Porshur gives that subtle yet defined contour that I really like. Look how it also adds just the right amount of warmth on my face!
Nowadays, I keep on reaching for Porshur because it's just so easy to use! Whenever I want subtle definition without looking overboard, Porshur delivers so well. I also notice that it pairs well with my blushes because Porshur lets my blushes shine while subtly defining my cheeks and warming up my face.
Between Confeeerm and Porshur, I'd say get Porshur if you: 1). have a fair-medium skintone; 2). want an everyday contour powder; and/or 3). are a beginner and want to try your hand at contouring. Now I know why Porshur is always sold out! 10/10 would recommend.
