Yesterday, I attended a Christmas party. Not just any Christmas party but it's a gathering organized by my rheumatoid doctor, Dr. Christine Bernal, for all her patients who have Lupus. At long last, I was able to see patients who are as old as me. Thankfully, a former schoolmate of mine, Ariane, was there too.
Uh, no, it's not mine. I celebrated my birthday three months ago. Read it here.
My dad turned 63 yesterday, December 6. Mom prepared a mini-feast for the three of us. We ate dinner at around 8:00 pm, since Dad attended mass. Can't believe my Dad's 63 already. He has 2 more years to work before he retires.
I have an announcement to make.
Ready?

I'M GOING TO TAYLOR SWIFT'S CONCERT HERE IN MANILA!
Yay! Well originally, I'm not going because some of my sources told me that tickets are sold out and the only tickets available are for General Admission. But but but! I called TicketNet yesterday and they told me that there are still seats for Upper Box B, the location I want! So right there and then, I reserved my ticket. It'll just be me and 3 of my high school friends since my parents are not really familiar with TSwift and my sister is in Singapore. Upper Box B isn't a reserved seating one so I have to be there as early as possible to get a good view.
I had a fantastic day today. First because my urinalysis results are awesome. Negative on sugar and protein. My mom, dad, and I went to the doctor for a checkup (In case you don't know, I have SLE). My doctor said I'm doing well and she also told us that all her SLE patients will have a gathering/party next month. Good thing I know someone who'll be there too.
Oops, sorry for the dark photo -.-" |
I got two new make-up products today. I've been looking for a pigmented black eyeshadow for some time now, and finally I got one. I know I told my sister in Singapore to get me one but I know too that I'll have it when she comes home next month. Anyway, the reason I want to have a pigmented black eyeshadow is because I saw a make-up tutorial by MakeUp Geek called "Holiday Party Makeup". I got really interested in trying it and I might even wear it on Christmas. Marlena used MAC's Dark Soul pigment as the main lid color. Since MAC is pricey especially for me who is still studying in high school, I opted for a cheaper alternative. Thankfully, I found Ever Bilena's Cream Eyeshadows (95php/ $2.17). Ever Bilena is a known makeup brand here in the Philippines since it's affordable.
Yay for me for updating! It's been awhile since I wrote something here. Anyway let's get started.
Yesterday, I was alone the whole morning and I got really bored with my Algebra (I was stuck with a question). When I was thinking of the correct solution and answer, I saw my E.L.F eyeliner pens and I instantly thought, "When don't I practice doing a winged eyeliner?" So without further hesitation, I grabbed my eyeliner pen in Midnight and I started doing a winged eyeliner. This is my third or fourth attempt to do it. I can say I'm getting better at it but I still have some issues regarding the length. So here is my semi-perfect casual winged eyeliner.
I have nothing against Halloween, it's just that I don't dress up like everybody else. For this year's Halloween, I just went to the mall with my Mom. I am so happy to finally have my own copy of Misguided Angel. I've been waiting for this book because The Van Alen Legacy was so good I had to know what happened next.
Also, I also got my copy of Candy Mag's November issue. I'm loving the 3 alternate covers.
Hope you all have a happy Halloween!
Mom, Dad, and I went to two cemeteries on the 30th of October instead of the usual November 1 visit most people do. The first cemetery we visited was Manila Memorial Park Cemetery where my uncle, grandpa, great grandpa and great grandpa are buried. I wasn't able to meet all of them since they died years before I was born, but my older sister was lucky enough to meet them. By the way, they are all on my Mom's side. My dead relatives on my Dad's side are buried in their province.
As an aspiring make-up artist, I know I should have the right tools- especially brushes. All looks depend on the brushes you have. And we all know good quality brushes are expensive and cheap ones are hard to find. But I'm happy to say that I finally found good quality brushes that are cheap at the same time. The brand? G-Lish.
G-Lish is a small make-up store here in the Philippines. It may not be that popular compared to local brands like Ever Bilena, Careline, or Fashion 21 but G-Lish's brushes make their store exceptional. Aside from their brushes, they also have cute make-up products for the eyes, face, cheeks, and lips. And their products are really cheap! I think it's the Philippine counterpart of E.L.F.
I went to the mall again yesterday afternoon. My mom and I watched Eat Pray Love, which is a really adorable movie, while Dad watched Red. Since the schedules were a bit different, Mom and I went out first. While Mom paid bills, I went to the E.L.F. stall. Hee. Anyway, I was so happy, really happy, when I saw that they have new products. I was even happier when I saw their eyeliner pen in Midnight and Plum!
I've always been a fan of E.L.F. of Eyes, Lips, Face so when I saw that their products are on sale, I didn't hesitate to browse their stall. I'm happy because their products are wallet-friendly despite the fact that they're from the US.
So Mom, Dad, and I had a food trip once again. Before going to Farmer's Market in Cubao, we first went to Mandaluyong to get some goodies sent by my aunt who is in Canada. After, we went to my Grandma's house to trade a canned good for another canned good (sounds silly, I know!) and to get Daddy's insurance. Sad to know that their dog died that morning because of frog poisoning. Now for lunch, we went to Farmer's Dampa.
After ordering fried shrimp, sinigang na tuna, stuffed squid, and seaweed salad, we went to an air-conditioned room. Sharing an air-conditioned room is cheaper than renting the whole room so we opted to get a shared room. Funny thing was, we were placed in the wrong room! We had to switch rooms before eating. Gosh was I full! After eating, we went to Shopwise Cubao to do some groceries. I saw Ms. Tess Bomb there. And I saw a girl who really looks like Dominique Tiu. I have a feeling it was here. Oh my. /starstruck
Oh yes it is. I did the usual things today- study my 6th module in Algebra, play Cupcake Corner in Facebook, watch several episodes of Detective Conan, go on Tumblr & Facebook & Twitter. I have no outside life. Though I don't really like going out at night, I need to improve my social life. I miss seeing my friends! I miss chatting with them, watching movies with them, playing in arcade spots with them......sigh. But on a happy note, Conan's expression, "Ah-le-le"/ "Ah-re-re" cheered me up a lot. It's soooooo cute! And I was able to download the show's theme and it's now my ringtone. Hohoho.
I hope tomorrow will be different. I want to buy Torment but I'm thinking of buying it with Crescendo and/or The Lost Hero. Weewoo! :)
Til next time!
