A Roundup of All My 2021 Online Beauty Purchases
*aggressively plays Money by Lisa 💸💸💸*
Well, well look what we have here. Honestly, I'm still not sure whether this post is a good idea, like some part of me just wants to be in the dark and can't be bothered to know but also the other part's like "Go on, see how much you spent, you broke ass bitch". Guess that part won this one because I'm finally doing a tally on my online purchases, beauty edition.
I've been telling you from my past posts that 2021 is the year when I got back into makeup again and I guess that's evident from my hauls, frequent reviews, and online purchases. It's a miracle I still have money left from my spending haha! To be fair, there were a lot of really good deals in Shopee and Lazada, ones I can't say no to. So here it is, all the receipts of my online beauty damages.
(Note: this doesn't even include my non-online purchases + brow threading sessions so maybe let's just forget those k thanks bye! ALSO, some of the prices here include the shipping fee.)
Let's do it in chronological order, shall we?
The very first purchase I made this year was from Shopee. I bought my first two AOA sponges. (Click here to see my review on my AOA Beveled Wonder Blender!)
Total so far: ₱205.00
Next one was in April- some nail glue and stickers for my NOTDs and a set of matte blue fake nails that I haven't even used yet since I'm saving them for a special occasion (whatever and whenever that may be).
Total so far: ₱205 + 101= ₱306.00
Next two purchases were made in the month of June. I think I both got these during the 6/6 sale on Shopee: my very first purchases from Colourette and Focallure. These were featured on this haul post.
Total so far: ₱306 + 296 + 239= ₱841.00
The following month, I was at it again. I made two purchases: three goodies from Detail Cosmetics' Shopee page (check out my review on the Eyes on You Shadow Primer) and the Fresh Formula Sgt. At Arms PR Kit from Lazada (which I also featured here!)
Total so far: ₱841 + 257 + 499= ₱1597.00
Since I was on a spending mood on my birth month, I made a last minute purchase from Fresh Formula's 9/30 Payday sale. These goodies were included in this haul.
Total so far: ₱1597 + 497 = ₱2094.00
My purchases in October: two mini tints from Colourette (Ginger and a mishap: I bought Ellie instead of Emma! It was kinda late when I discovered it so I couldn't cancel my order anymore so now I have an extra mini Ellie), then an H&M Top Coat (which I'm currently loving btw! Will review soon!), and lastly, the powder brush I've been eyeing from Detail Cosmetics.
Total so far: ₱2094 + 236 + 137 + 100= ₱2567.00
November had the biggest price drops on both Lazada and Shopee and while it was tempting to just add to cart and check out, I had an ounce of self-control that month. My biggest purchase this month was a little haul from Colourette which consisted of 3 mini tints and a Shimmertint. The other purchase was from Focallure again but instead of makeup, I got 3 new sponges. (Reviewed one here if you're interested!)
Total so far: ₱2567 + 420 + 155 = ₱3142.00
For December, I wasn't really feeling spendy but ironically, I still did three purchases: first are some brushes from Anne Clutz, then 3 items from Detail Cosmetics (2 of which I gave to my mom), and lastly, my Christmas purchase that hasn't even been delivered yet: my very first haul from GRWM Cosmetics! I won't add the items here since they'll be featured in a haul next week. Stay tuned!
GRAND TOTAL: ₱3142 + 248 + 388 + 749 (my GRWM purchase) = ₱4527.00
Ummm oKAY?? Is my wallet okay?? Am I okay?? Did I just spend almost ₱5k on online beauty purchases alone? Honestly, I have no idea how to feel- I'm kinda confused, in disbelief, but also somewhat happy that it didn't reach 5k? HAHAHA. But if you think about it, that amount isn't bad considering it was for the whole year and not just one month. So, in a way, I didn't splurge as much as I thought. I know this isn't much considering that some people spend more than 1k in one purchase alone but remember, I'm a cheapskate so 5k is already quite hefty to me. It's already a splurge in my eyes. But also, it was worth spending considering the items I got made me feel happy during this weird year. And I got to review them too here in my blog so hey, two birds one stone, am I right?
Well, that's pretty much what I got for today. I'm thinking of doing this a yearly thing and also next time include the non-online purchases as well since I also paid for those haha! Here's to hoping that my purchases for 2022 doesn't top this one! (Already having some doubts tbh.)
